Our Client runs Residential Care Homes for Learning Disabilities in the South East. There philosophy of care based on the principle of “supporting independence” by helping clients achieve their full potential whatever their level of ability. To work in accordance with our Clients philosophy of care and its Policies and Procedures. They are looking for an experienced Deputy Home Care Manager with a minimum of 2 years current knowledge as a Deputy Home Care Manager in a Learning Disabilities Home. Essential qualification NVQ4, the location of the home in Redhill, Surrey. •Manage the home ensuring the highest standards of support and care are provided for the residents •Care Packages are in place and an effective service is delivered •Adherence to all requirements and regulations laid out under the Care Standards Act 2001 •Effectively develop good communication links between members of the team and colleagues •To assist the Manager in designated budget management •Be aware of staffing needs and to work allocated shifts which include sleep-in duties •In the absence of the Manager ensure the correct management of staff and the home •Train and motivate staff assist in recruitment process and supervision •Responsible for comprehensive Care Plans for each individual resident •Ensure rules regulations health & safety confidentiality etc are all adhered to •Order food and sundries organise events, yearly holiday for residents •Ensure that a safe and clean environment is maintained at all times meeting all relevant Health and Safety legislation •Responsibility for the monitoring of medication ordering administration and accurate record keeping •Administration and record keeping is maintained to a high standard •This job description is not an exhaustive list of duties, but a guideline to indicate the main areas of responsibilities Salary £22,000 - Full-Time 37.5 hours, 20 days holiday annually.
